There are 1,850 billion tonnes of organisms on Earth.
A mattress contains on average between 100,000 and 10,000,000 mites. One gram of botulin extracted from Clostridium botulinum bacteria suffices to kill the entire population of an average modern city. We are made of over 90 per cent bacteria, viruses, fungi and other microorganisms. The Toxoplasma gondii parasite, for example, turns mice into zombies so they can be eaten by cats. Color them all in Microscopic Monsters, where you will also find the ebola and HIV viruses, pork tapeworms, crab lice and tardigrades.
Microscopic Monsters allows us to enter a world that is as alien to us as outer space in the form of detailed drawings of microscopic monsters from near and far. See these friends and enemies close up, color them and to learn some amazing facts about them.
